JobBench ("we," "us," "our") provides an app that helps solo contractors and small trade businesses create quotes, send invoices, and collect payments. This policy explains what information JobBench collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with.
Business and client information you enter. When you use JobBench, you provide your business name and trade type, and you enter contact details for your own clients — name, phone number, email address, and physical address. This information is stored on your device and synced to our backend (Supabase) so it's available across your sessions.
Your responsibility for client data. You are responsible for having your own clients' permission, consistent with your own legal obligations, before entering their contact details into JobBench. We store this information on your behalf as part of the app's core functionality — we do not independently contact, market to, or use your clients' information for any other purpose.
Quotes, invoices, and photos. Line items, prices, and quote/invoice status are stored on our servers. Photos you attach to a quote or invoice are stored only on your own device — they are never uploaded to our servers and we never see them.
Account identifier. JobBench signs you in anonymously — we do not require an email, password, or any real-world identity to use the app. You're identified only by a random, non-identifying account ID.
Payment information. JobBench never collects or stores your clients' full card numbers. When you collect a card or Apple Pay payment, that information is entered directly into Stripe's secure payment interface and handled entirely by Stripe. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and a payment reference ID. Your own Pro subscription payment (if you upgrade) is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store — we never see your payment details for that either.
Usage analytics. We collect basic, anonymized usage events (for example, when a quote is created or sent) tied to your anonymous account ID, so we can understand which features are actually useful and where people run into trouble. These events do not include your name, email, phone number, or any client information.
What we do not collect. JobBench does not access your location, contacts, camera (beyond a photo you explicitly choose to attach), or microphone. We do not use advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
We share information only with the service providers that make JobBench work:
Supabase — hosts our database and backend.
Stripe — processes card and Apple Pay payments your clients make to you.
Apple — processes your own JobBench Pro subscription payment, if you subscribe.
None of these providers may use your information for their own advertising purposes.
We retain your data for as long as you use JobBench. If you'd like your data deleted, email us at bozdevsupport@gmail.com and we'll remove it.
JobBench is intended for business use by adult contractors and tradespeople. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
